SÈVRES GARNITURE OF THREE VASES HOLLANDOIS

Mark: Interlacing L's, date letter G, one with F, mark (caduceus) possibly for Edmé Goméry
Impressive Sèvres garniture of three Vases, each fan-shaped vase modeled in two parts: the upper trumpet-shaped portion, flaring with a curving profile; fitting into a quatrefoil reservoir type of stand with vertical sides, rounded corners and supported on four feet, the pierced shoulder with four large openings framed by a cartouche of six to eight smaller openings. The upper portion with matching indentations fits into the reservoir and likewise is pierced with ten small holes at the base, concealed when the two parts are assembled. Each piece decorated with a pink ground, painted with reserves on either side depicting landscape scenes with figures enclosed within gilt borders.
