An extremely rare Chelsea pair of plates, painted with large, luxuriant flowers blossoming amidst smaller flowers and leaves, on a ground left white to set off their vibrant tones of pink, red, blue, green and shaded white, the wavy rims edged in gilding. Only one other similar plate is known, in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
